St Paul’s Episcopal Church Today
Today, St Paul’s Episcopal Church consists of more than 200 families and almost 700 active members. We have one of the best youth programs in the Diocese of East Carolina, serving children between the ages of one and 17. Our youth are involved with the mission and outreach efforts locally, in Appalachia, and in overseas missions. We have an excellent Christian Education Program for ages one through high school. We offer four adult programs on both Sundays and weekdays.
We are a parish that seriously answers God’s call to help our neighbors in need. Our members serve our community by helping with Habitat for Humanity, Edenton Emergency Aid, Edenton-Chowan Food Pantry, the Clothes Closet, and the Emergency Response Center. We sponsor a seminarian each summer, and mission work in Uganda, Haiti and Honduras.
We are reminded each week as we leave our churchyard: “You are now entering the mission field. Go forth to serve the Lord!” St Paul’s is a place where you can sense not only the past, but also the Holy Spirit.
Come and see for yourself what God is doing here.
